On February 26, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis took part in the opening of the forum “Crimea: The Home We Fight For”, dedicated to the Day of Resistance to the Occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol.

In his speech, Yevhen Perebyinis noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is making the necessary efforts to keep the issue of Crimea on the agenda of international organizations and in the field of attention of Ukraine’s partner states. Thus, a practical example of diplomatic work is the annual adoption by the UN General Assembly of the resolution “Situation of human rights in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, including the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol”.

The participants paid special attention to the activities of the International Crimea Platform, the Fifth Summit of which was held for the first time on the sidelines of the United Nations in 2025 in New York, USA.

In addition, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Petra Bayer, who also serves as a mentor to Crimean political prisoner Iryna Danylovych, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech.

The event was organized by the Representation of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea together with representatives of the public sector.
