On June 13, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr Yevhen Perebyinis took part in the 46th online meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
Yevhen Perebyinis informed the participants of the meeting in detail about the consequences of another act of terrorism committed by the aggressor-state (Russia) - the blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant in the Kherson region, which will have serious destructive consequences for the environment, flora, fauna, cultural heritage of the entire Black Sea region, as well as a negative impact on global food security.
"The key to achieving peace and stability is the implementation of the Peace Formula initiated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, which consists of 10 points and includes, among other things, issues dealing with by the BSEC - food, energy, environment," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the BSEC member states who took part in the inaugural Black Sea Security Conference within the framework of the International Crimea Platform in Bucharest on April 13,2023 and called on the BSEC member states to join the Group of establishing a Special International Tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The Deputy Minister also called on the participants of the meeting to find a way to terminate the membership of the aggressor state in the BSEC due to the violation of the principles and objectives of the organization.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation wished success to Turkey, which will assume the BSEC Chairmanship in the next six months, and expressed Ukraine's readiness for the further fruitful cooperation.
