On June 28, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the delegation of the Commission on National Defense of the Riigikogu (Parliament) of the Republic of Estonia, headed by its Chairman Grigore-Kalev Stoicescu.
The main topics of the meeting were Ukrainian-Estonian cooperation in the defense sphere, as well as the issue of accelerating Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO, in particular in the context of the upcoming summit of the Alliance in Vilnius.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude to the Estonian parliamentarians for the comprehensive support of Ukraine in its resistance to Russian armed aggression and Estonia's initiative to finance the supply of weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The parties also discussed the prospects of bringing Russian war criminals to justice and emphasized the need to speed up the creation of the Special Tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
"We highly appreciate the adoption by the Parliament of Estonia on June 15 of a Statement regarding Russia's responsibility for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, as well as full support for the Peace Formula initiated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi," emphasized Yevhen Perebyinis.
