On 20 November, 2023 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis met with a delegation of the Committee on European Union Affairs of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany, headed by the Committee's Chairman Anton Hofreiter. The delegation also included members of the Bundestag Gunther Krichbaum (CDU/CSU) and Thomas Hacker (FDP).
During the meeting, the parties focused on negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU, preparations for the next NATO summit in Washington, and strengthening military assistance from Germany.
Yevhen Perebyinis thanked the German side for its comprehensive support of Ukraine, in particular in the political, military, financial and humanitarian spheres, and emphasized the importance of further increasing assistance from German partners due to the upcoming winter period.
The Deputy Minister briefed the German delegation on the measures taken by the Government of Ukraine on the European integration track.
For their part, the German MPs assured of Germany's unwavering support for our country until its victory over the Russian aggressor.
