On December 14, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with Senator of the Italian Republic, leader of the Action party Carlo Calenda.

Yevhen Perebyinis expressed gratitude for the Italian support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as humanitarian and other assistance provided to our country. Deputy Minister requested for the supply of the equipment needed to restore destroyed energy infrastructure and ensure uninterruptable power supply in the winter period.

Yevhen Perebyinis informed about Ukraine's expectations from the European partners in the context of military aid and EU sanctions policy, and called on Italy to participate in the implementation of the "Peace Formula" of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Deputy Minister expressed hope that the Italian parliament would adopt a decision recognizing the Holodomor as an act of genocide of the Ukrainian people.

The parties also discussed the deepening of the bilateral political dialogue and the support of Ukraine on the way to the EU and NATO.
