On April 12 Deputy Minister Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with the Ambassador of France to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins, during which they discussed further assistance of France to Ukraine, in particular, the cooperation in the field of defence as well as the prospects for further development of political dialogue.

Yevhen Perebyinis welcomed the adoption of a resolution by the National Assembly of France on March 28 this year recognizing the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine as the genocide against the Ukrainian people. He also expressed gratitude for the active participation of Paris in the creation of a Special International Tribunal on the crime of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

International efforts to counter the illegitimate Russia’s aggression against Ukraine were also discussed during the meeting.
