On February 7, Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with Director General for European Issues of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jaroslav Kurfürst.

Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his gratitude for the Czech Republic's support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as defense and humanitarian assistance. He especially noted the significant support provided by our Czech partners during the Presidency of the EU Council in the second half of 2022.

Jaroslav Kurfürst confirmed the unwavering support for Ukraine's future membership in the EU and the NATO and readiness to assist our country to meet necessary criteria as soon as possible.

The parties exchanged views on prospects for development of bilateral political dialogue, including the visit to Ukraine by President elected of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel in his presidential capacity.

They also discussed the issues of the Peace Formula implementation, which was initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, sanctions pressure strengthening on Russia, establishment of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine etc.
