On March 28, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis held a meeting with Torbjörn Sohlström, Director General and Head of the Euro-Atlantic and Security Policy Department at the Swedish Foreign Ministry.
Yevhen Perebyinis thanked Sweden for its strong military support to Ukraine, including Sweden's participation in the "tank coalition".
The parties discussed the need to increase sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation, the prospects of bringing Russian war criminals to justice, the implementation of reforms in Ukraine, Sweden's participation in implementing President Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula and further security assistance to our country.
Yevhen Perebyinis expressed his hope for continued active cooperation with Sweden within this country's EU Presidency, stressing that Ukraine expects to make significant progress towards full EU membership during this period.
The parties also discussed the development of bilateral Ukrainian-Swedish relations and the Euro-Atlantic perspectives of the two countries.
