On July 3, 2020, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin met with Ambassador of the Republic of India to Ukraine Partha Satpathy.
The parties discussed the prospects of practical cooperation in trade, economic, investment, innovation and humanitarian spheres, as well as expressed their intentions to intensify political dialogue.
Deputy FM Yenin suggested ways to expand business contacts between the two countries, as well as to identify dates for the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, Industrial and Cultural Cooperation.
Deputy Foreign Minister thanked for the humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine by the Government of India to counter the spread of COVID-19 and praised the contribution of the Republic of India in the fight against the pandemic.
The interlocutors also discussed cooperation in the educational and consular spheres. The parties agreed to continue to provide full assistance in organizing flights to repatriate Ukrainian and Indian citizens in the pandemic.
The Ambassador of India thanked for Ukraine's support of India's candidacy in the elections of non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for the period 2021-2022 and expressed hope for further productive cooperation.
