On 3 November 2020, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevheniy Yenin met with Ambassador of Vietnam to Ukraine Nguyen Anh Tuan who is completing his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.

Deputy Minister emphasized that Vietnam remains an important partner of Ukraine in the region of Southeast Asia and one of the leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). While noting the successful chairmanship of Vietnam this year in this important regional organization, Yevheniy Yenin emphasized our state’s aspirations to establish closer cooperation with ASEAN.

Deputy Minister and Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan also discussed the development of bilateral relations in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, deepening contacts at high and highest levels and holding regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of Ukraine and Vietnam.

Yevheniy Yenin thanked Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan for his work as the head of the Vietnamese diplomatic mission in Ukraine and wished him every success in his future diplomatic endeavors.
