On May 24, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevheniy Yenin met with Malaysian Ambassador to Ukraine H.E. Dato' Raja Reza Raja Zaib Shah on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission.

The Deputy Minister thanked the Malaysian diplomat for his efforts and personal contribution to the development of Ukrainian-Malaysian relations, Malaysia's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and cooperation in the investigation of the downing of MH17.

Yevheniy Yenin noted the important personal contribution of the Ambassador of Malaysia in the planned opening of the ASEAN Center on the basis of the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, aimed to become a unique cultural, educational and social center for developing contacts between Ukraine and ASEAN member states.

The interlocutors discussed steps to intensify the political dialogue between Ukraine and Malaysia, bilateral cooperation for the near future.
