On October 18, the meeting between the Special Representative of Ukraine for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process Yuriy Klymenko and the Deputy Prime Minister for reintegration of the Republic of Moldova Oleg Serebrian took place in videoconference format.

The discussion was focused on the current situation in the Transdniestrian region of the Republic of Moldova, the current state of the negotiation process on the Transdniestrian settlement, marked by the negative impact of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, possible approaches to its consideration at this year's meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in early December.

Attention was paid to the settlement perspectives, in particular, in the context of the European integration processes in the Republic of Moldova.

Ukraine remains committed to a peaceful resolution of the conflict while ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova within its internationally recognized borders.
