On September 18, Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha will pay a working visit to Romania, pursuant to the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will hold bilateral talks with his Romanian colleague Luminita Odobescu and other top officials. After the negotiations the ministers will hold a joint press conference.
The key topics of negotiations in Bucharest will be further support of Ukraine's defence capabilities and energy resilience, advancement of our country on the way to joining the EU and NATO, implementation of the Peace Formula, security in the Black Sea region and protection of rights and interests of the Ukrainian citizens in Romania.
The visit to Romania will open the regional tour of Andrii Sybiha to the close neighbouring countries, which will be Minister’s first foreign tour after his appointment.
This first foreign tour is a signal of Ukraine's determination to develop a constructive, predictable and mutually beneficial good-neighbourly policy, which is of strategic importance in the context of Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO.
