On September 18, on the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and as part of his first foreign tour after his appointment, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha will pay a working visit to the Slovak Republic.
The agenda of the visit includes meetings with President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini, Prime Minister Robert Fico and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Juraj Blanar.
The key topics of the talks will be ensuring support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression, strengthening Slovakia's role in implementing President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula, supporting Ukraine on its path to EU and NATO membership, and implementing bilateral projects set out in the Roadmap for Joint Action between Ukraine and Slovakia.
Following the talks, the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Slovakia will make statements to the press.
After Bucharest, Bratislava will be the next stop on the Ukrainian Foreign Minister's tour of neighboring countries. This first foreign tour of the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Ukraine signals our country's commitment to developing a pragmatic and predictable neighborhood policy and prioritizing the strategic goal of Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO.
