President arrives in Baku

President Viktor Yanukovych has arrived in Baku, Azerbaijan on an official visit, where he was officially welcomed by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

A military orchestra performed the anthems of both countries as the Heads of State passed the guards of honor.

The ceremony ended with mutual introduction of the official delegations of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

The delegation of Ukraine includes Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, First Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Co-chairman of the Joint Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation Andriy Klyuyev, Defense Minister Mykhaylo Yezhel, Presidential Adviser Andrii Goncharuk , General Director of the Ukroboronprom Dmytro Salamatin, Chairman of the State Agency for Investments and National Projects Management Vladyslav Kaskiv.

After the welcoming ceremony, President Yanukovych and President Aliyev have begun their tete-a-tete meeting.

After its completion, the third meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Azerbaijan is scheduled, followed by a signature of bilateral agreements and a joint press conference of the Heads of State.
