On April 29, 2011 Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Mykytenko received the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Ukraine Zina Kalai-Klaitman at her request.

During the meeting the Sides discussed current bilateral affaires and interaction of both states within the framework of the UN. Particularly, the Sides discussed the plans of joint actions in commemoration of the 70 years of the tragedy in Babyn Yar, which is marked in September this year both in Ukraine and in Israel.

Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Mykytenko expressed gratitude to the Israeli Side for its contribution to the Chornobyl fund in the amount of 150 thousand Euros, made at the International conference dedicated to the 25 years of the Chornobyl power plant disaster.
