Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met with U.S. Secretary of State Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy Richard L. Morningstar on the sidelines of the Brussels Forum. 

Both officials discussed ways of enhancing energy security in Europe. Ukrainian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of attracting resources from international financial institutions for the purposes of the gas transportation system of Ukraine. Ambassador Richard L. Morningstar confirmed the readiness of the United States to support Ukraine in strengthening its energy security. They also exchanged views on prospects of Ukrainian-American relations in the energy sector.

The same day Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko addressed the panel discussion "Eastern European Partners: going East, West or Nowhere?", and took part in a debate "European Neighborhood: more for more or just nothing?" that were focused on the European Neighborhood Policy.

Brussels Forum is an annual high-level conference organized by the Marshall Fund. The Forum is traditionally attended by prominent political, intellectual and business leaders from North America and Europe.
