On 21 March, 2012, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Robert Dechert. 

In the course of the meeting, the two Sides exchanged their views on the topical issues of Ukrainian – Canadian relations that are defined by their relations of Special Partnership, as well as on the practical steps aimed at their further deepening. Particular attention was given to the importance of intensifying the bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
