The Third meeting of the Council of Exporters was held in the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine under the chairmanship of Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko. The meeting was attended by the largest companies in the meat and dairy industry in Ukraine.
The participants discussed the situation with the export of meat and dairy products on the market of the Russian Federation and of the Customs Union, the problems of export meat and dairy products to the European market and prospects of cooperation with the European Union, particularly in the context of the FTA.
Special attention was attached to opening of new markets for Ukrainian meat and dairy products, including markets in Asia (India, China), Middle East, Africa and Latin America. The Minister assured that the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad would further provide maximum assistance to domestic producers, which intend to enter new markets.
As a result of the meeting, participants signed a Memorandum of Understanding on further cooperation, as well as issued a joint statement.
