More than 80 representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, including foreign ambassadors accredited in Ukraine, as well as big business enterprises, participated in this meeting,

During the meeting Minister Gryshchenko informed about the recent activities of the Ministry aimed at further development of trade, economic and investment relations of Ukraine with other countries. Minister specifically mentioned the close cooperation with business companies in the framework of recently established by the Foreign Ministry Council of Exporters and a Working Group on cooperation with the regional administrations of Ukraine. Among key priorities of the Foreign Ministry in economic dimension, the Minister underlined, in particular, continued efforts to boost foreign investments into Ukraine’s economy. Partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine is seen by the Foreign Minister as an effective way forward to meet this objective.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine was signed at the meeting. According to the Memorandum, the Parties will establish a joint Working Group aiming to develop an Action Plan in the field of international activity and coordinate cooperation with the Regional State Administrations, Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry and industry-specific associations.
