On April 14, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko on a working visit to Germany, took part in a session of the Foreign Ministers of NATO and of partner countries, devoted to the situation in Libya. In his speech Kostyantyn Gryshchenko stressed that Ukraine speaks up in soonest possible restoration of peace in Libya basing on unconditional implementation of resolutions of the UN Security Council Resolutions 1970 and 1973. He noted that Ukraine is ready to further render humanitarian support to international efforts to protect and help the civil population in Libya.

On their part, NATO representatives highly assessed the humanitarian mission of the large amphibious landing ship “Kostiantyn Olshansky” to evacuate from the dangerous zone 85 citizens of Ukraine and over 100 foreign citizens, including many from the Alliance’s countries, In foreign partners’ opinion, through this mission Ukraine has shown that it has a sound voice in international relations and is able with deeds, not words to assist other participants of international community.
