7th Annual Meeting of the OSCE Border Security and Management National Focal Point Network held in Kyiv

On 8-10 April, the 7th Annual Meeting of the OSCE Border Security and Management National Focal Point Network was held in the premises of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the topic “Promoting cross-border co-operation and confidence building in the OSCE area”.
Ukraine hosted the meeting as a part of implementation of its 2013 OSCE Chairmanship priorities in the sphere of combating transnational crime and ensuring border security.
The event was organized jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine and the OSCE Secretariat.
The meeting’s participants representing 30 OSCE participating states exchanged views and ideas on confidence building measures in the sphere of border security and management, as well as the role of respective national bodies in strengthening border security.
