C.Granig informed about the interest and the plans of “Siemens” to expand its presence in the energy segment, as well as in transport, machine-building and other spheres of the Ukrainian economy. 

Minister Leonid Kozhara praised the activities of "Siemens" on the Ukrainian market and confirmed Ukraine's interest in launching new joint energy and energy efficiency projects, in particular, in the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transportation system.

On the proposal of the Minister C.Granig agreed to join the Council of Exporters and Investors under the MFA.

Sharing the opinion of the Minister fоr Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the benefits of the Ukraine-EU free trade area both for Ukrainian and European business the Director General of "Siemens Ukraine" supported the early signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
