Within the framework of the consultations special attention was paid to the Ukraine-EU relations, in particular the implementation of Ukraine-EU Association Agenda as well as of the Plan of Priority Measures on Ukraine’s EU integration for 2013 and visa liberalization.

Johannes Kyrle expressed the interest and the support of Austria to signing the Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU including the Free Trade Area during the Eastern Partnership summit on 28-29 of November 2013 in Vilnius.

Deputy head of Austrian diplomacy also stressed the importance of efficient bilateral cooperation in trade and economic area.

During the meeting both Sides underlined a high level of political dialog between the two countries and exchanged the views on further cooperation within the framework of international organizations such as UN, UNESCO, the Danube Commission, the Central European Initiative, as well as in the OSCE in the light of Ukraine’s Chairmanship this year.
