At the beginning of the meeting the Kuwaiti diplomat handed over greeting letters on the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the State of Kuwait from H.H. Emir of Kuwait to the President of Ukraine and from the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait to the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting the current state of Ukrainian-Kuwaiti relations was discussed as well as the prospects of intensification of interstate contacts at both high and highest levels were viewed.

Special attention was paid to measures being taken by the parties in the context of preparation for the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Intergovernmental Commission on Econimical, Technical and Commercial cooperation planned for this year in the State of Kuwait.
