Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, received Mr. Udayanga Veeratunga, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Ukraine with residence in Moscow.

On March 23, 2011 H.E. Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, received H.E. Mr. Udayanga Veeratunga, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Ukraine with residence in Moscow, at his request.

During the meeting the Sides discussed various issues of bilateral relations. The importance of further development of mechanism of regular high level political contacts was emphasized. Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expressed the readiness to visit Sri Lanka with official visit.

The Sides also discussed the further development of trade-economic cooperation and necessary steps for expanding the legal base of bilateral relations as well as the intensification of Ukrainian-Sri Lankan interaction at different levels.
