On March 17, 2011, Victor Mayko, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine met with Chuah Teong Ban, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Ukraine and received from the newly appointed Ambassador copies of credentials.

The Sides discussed the issues of development of bilateral relations, especially in political, as well as trade and economic spheres.

Н.Е. V.Mayko and H.E. Chuah Teong Ban also considered the issues of participation of the Malaysian Government leadership in Chernobyl events, particularly in the Summit and Conference, to be held on April 19-21, 2011 in Kyiv.
