Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Leonid Kozhara met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Karl Erjavec.
Both Ministers expressed their mutual interest in intensification of political dialogue, enhancement of bilateral cooperation within international and regional organizations as well as between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries. They also exchanged views on topical international issues as well as on the OSCE agenda.
In this context Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Karl Erjavec highly appreciated the current Ukrainian chairmanship in the OSCE.
The sides positively evaluated systematic work of Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the next meeting of which will be held on September 30 – October 1, 2013 in Ljubljana.
The Ukrainian side expressed interest in strengthening of economic ties with Slovenia by implementation of mutual regional projects.
During the meeting the issues on Ukraine-EU agenda were discussed. The Slovenian side expressed support of Ukraine’s European aspirations, especially, in terms of Ukrainian expectations from the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius.
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara congratulated his colleague on a successful holding of the European 2013 Basketball Championship.
