Enlisted in the delegation headed by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Ruslan Demchenko took part on September 24 to 25 in a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (Astana, the Republic of Kazakhstan).
As part of his stay in Astana, R.M.Demchenko met with the First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Mikhnevich. The counterparties considered bilateral developments especially focussing on the arrangements for the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov’s visit to the Republic of Belarus expected for early this October, and for the Ukraine-Belarus Trade and Economic Cooperation Intergovernmental Joint Commission’s 23rd session to be held this November.
The parties also considered a wide range of bilateral issues including but not limited to, economy agenda and extending bilateral contractual legal framework, and agreed to have consultations for the two foreign services.
