In New York, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara as a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the 68th session of United Nations General Assembly signed with his colleague Gunnar Sveinsson, Foreign Minister of Iceland the intergovernmental Agreements on the readmission of persons and on the facilitation of the issuance of visas.
The Ministers emphasized that these documents will facilitate partnership between Ukraine and Iceland and intensify relations in economic, tourism, humanitarian and law enforcement spheres.
The Ministers discussed further developments of bilateral cooperation within the United Nations as well as in the economic spheres, particularly in EFTA. Leonid Kozhara emphasized the necessity of exchange of bilateral high-level visits.
It was emphasized that trade and economic spheres should be developed by mutual investment projects in fishery, energy, agriculture, transport and communications.
