Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met with PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs on Ukraine Mailis Reps (Estonia) and Marietta de Pourbaix-Lundin (Sweden).

The issues of cooperation within the Council of Europe, particularly in the context of fulfilment of Ukraine’s obligations before the Organisation, were discussed during the meeting.

In this regard, the adoption in first reading of the Law of Ukraine “On Public Prosecutor’s Office” (submitted to the Parliament by the President of Ukraine) was noted. This step facilitates the fulfilment of the last formal obligation of Ukraine before the Council of Europe.

Special attention was also paid to issues related to the realisation of the European integration course of our country.
