Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met with Minister of Mines and Energy of Brazil Edison Lobão.

On January 20, 2012 in the framework of official visit to Brazil Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met with Minister of Mines and Energy of Brazil Edison Lobão.

The parties noted the importance of the state visit of President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych to Brazil last October and confirmed mutual interest to further enhance cooperation in the framework of strategic partnership between the two countries.

Special focus was made on the prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and Brazil in high-tech industries, such as employing Ukrainian technologies to manufacture equipment for mining, oil and gas sectors.

Both Ministers also exchanged views on possibilities for Ukraine to make the best use of the Brazilian experience in biofuels production and exploration of oil reserves.
