K.Gryshchenko expressed gratitude for high organizational level of the official visit of H.E. Mr. Viktor Yanukovych, the President of Ukraine, to Japan in January 2011.

The Minister highly appreciated the outcome of meeting with his vis-a-vis - H.E. Mr. Seiji Maehara, at which a wide range of issues of Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation was discussed.

In the context of implementation of agreements reached and bilateral documents signed during the Ukrainian-Japanese summit, the issues of organizing in nearest future the highest and high levels visits to Ukraine was discussed, particularly of H.E. Mr. Naoto Kan, Prime Minister of Japan, and H.E. Mr. Seiji Maehara, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and holding the Third meeting of the Coordinating Council for Economic Cooperation with Japan under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the Committee on Ukraine of Nippon “Keidanren”. Two sides also discussed the issue of the participation of the high representative of the Government of Japan in the International Conference “Twenty-five years of the Chernobyl disaster. Security of the Future”, to be held in April 2011 in Kyiv.
