On January 14, 2011, H.E. Mr. Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, received H.E. Mr.Tadashi Izawa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine.

The sides exchanged views on important bilateral issues, global problems and challenges. They discussed important aspects of the official visit of H.E. Mr. Viktor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine, to Japan, planned January 18-21, 2011 in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, as well as of the forthcoming meeting between Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Japan within the framework of the above summit.

Both sides confirmed the readiness of governments of Ukraine and Japan to further develop cooperation within international organizations.
