Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Andrii Olefirov held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Portuguese Republic in Ukraine.

The situation caused by the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation in Crimea was discussed during the meeting.

The Ambassador of Portugal was informed about the actions of Ukrainian authorities in this difficult time for the country. The Sides exchanged views on possible means of de-escalation of tension on the Crimean peninsula and the possible ways to solve the problem. Mr. Andrii Olefirov expressed gratitude for the support of the official Lisbon to sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders of Ukraine.
