During the meeting the two sides discussed the OSCE engagement in resolving the current difficult situation in and around Ukraine caused by the Russian military occupation and illegal annexation of Crimea as well as its overall intervention in Ukraine’s internal affairs.

In particular, the sides exchanged views on the work of the OSCE Human Rights Assessment Mission, the OSCE special monitoring mission to Ukraine, on the implementation of the National Dialogue Project in Ukraine.  

Lamberto Zannier confirmed readiness to use all possible tools and experience of the OSCE in supporting the Ukrainian Government in its efforts to overcome present challenges.  

Acting Minister Andrii Deshchytsia assured the OSCE Secretary General the Ukrainian side is providing necessary assistance to OSCE experts to facilitate their work in Ukraine.
