Ministers mentioned that Ukraine and India are traditionally linked in many ways. During the last 20 years since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, which anniversary will be celebrated in January next year, two countries were able not only to preserve earlier established ties but to develop meaningful cooperation in different spheres.

Both sides noted with satisfaction their fruitful interaction on the broad spectrum of international agenda including the reform of UN Security Council, efforts taken in addressing the main threats and challenges of the XXI century, in particular in combating international terrorism.

It was reviewed the whole state of bilateral interaction in a number of key spheres and identified unrealized potential which should be further explored and put to the common service of Ukraine and India. The Sides decided to significantly reactivate political dialogue aiming to bring Ukrainian-Indian relations to a new level of partnership and agreed a number of bilateral activities at the highest and high levels to be held during 2012.

With the aim to deepen the economic component of bilateral relations K.Gryshchenko and S.M.Krishna agreed to hold meetings of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Indian Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical, industrial and cultural cooperation and the Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation next year.

The Heads of MFAs of two countries agreed to intensify the cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest: science and techniques, airspace, peaceful usage of nuclear energy, defense, tourism, culture.

Talks resulted into the signing of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of India on exemption from visa requirement for the holders of diplomatic passports.

The Heads of foreign ministries of two countries agreed to hold "Days of Ukraine" in India in 2012 and, accordingly, "Days of India" in Ukraine.

K.Gryshchenko invited the Foreign Minister of India S.M.Krishna to pay an official visit to Ukraine at a convenient time. The invitation was accepted with gratitude.
