While in Berlin on an official visit, acting Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Deshchytsia spoke at the German Society for Foreign Policy before the representatives of political, expert and diplomatic circles as well as German journalists on the topic “Ukrainian Crisis as a European (and Global) Dilemma”. During the lively debate after the speech Ukraine's acting Foreign Minister answered numerous questions from the audience.
At the Minister‘s meeting with the leaders and activists of the principal organizations of Ukrainians in Germany the focus was on issues of the internal political situation in Ukraine, preparation for the presidential elections, PR and cultural work carried out by the Ukrainians in Germany.
During the meeting of acting Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Deshchytsia with Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany Gerd Müller the parties discussed further financial and technological Ukrainian-German cooperation as well as the mechanisms of increasing its effectiveness. The German Minister confirmed the readiness of Berlin to provide the necessary consulting support for social and economic reforms and increase the amount of aid to Ukraine this year to 45 million EUR. Acting Minister thanked the German side for the decision to ensure financial assistance and gave Ukrainian suggestions on promising areas of cooperation.
Andrii Deshchytsia also gave an exclusive interview for the German newspaper “Tagesspiegel”.
