Ukrainian side expressed concern over recent statements by senior leadership of Hungarian state concerning specific matters of internal development of Ukraine and the protection of rights of national minorities. Due to the traditionally friendly and good neighborly relations between Ukraine and Hungary Natalia Galibarenko called on the Hungarian side to avoid such statements. Mihály Bayer assured of Hungary’s support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The parties discussed topical issues of the Ukrainian-Hungarian cooperation, particularly in the areas of energy, infrastructure development and humanitarian sphere.

Natalia Galibarenko and Mihály Bayer have also exchanged views on political situation in Ukraine and Hungary, particularly in the context of preparation for presidential elections in Ukraine and forming a new government in Hungary.
