A.Deshchytsia sent his sincere condolences to the family of Andrea Rocchelli, the Italian journalist killed yesterday in the result of the mortar fire during the separatist’s attack in Sloviansk.
The Head of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry ensured his colleague that the most experienced experts have been investigating the incident and law-enforcement authorities, due to the legal procedures, will inform the Italian Consulate General on the course of investigation.
The Ukrainian Minister stressed that this tragic event confirms further obstruction of the journalists’ activity by the terrorist gangs on the territory of Ukraine, which have been taking place after Russian invasion.
F.Mogherini expressed her hope that today’s presidential elections will create all necessary conditions to stabilize the situation in the country. She said that the Italian chairmanship in the EU, to be started on the 1 of July, will pay a special attention to Ukraine.
