During the meeting both sides highly appreciated the current state of the bilateral relations. They discussed issues of cooperation in trade and economic, transport, transit and energy spheres as well as others prospective fields of common interest. In particular, the issues of activization of multilateral project – container train “Zubr” realization were touched upon.

Victor Mayko expressed the gratitude for the continuous Latvia’s support of the European aspirations of Ukraine. In her turn, A.Daudze confirmed Latvia’s readiness to provide further assistance on the way of European integration of Ukraine.

Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador of the Latvian Republic to Ukraine on this assignment and wished success in all her diplomatic endeavours.
