The conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence took place in the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Deputy Minister for foreign relations of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, Governmental Representative in the European Court of Human Rights Valeria Lutkovska, Counselor of the President – Chief of Directorate of constitutional and legislative modernization (the Presidential Administration) Marina Stavniychuk, representatives of the White House and the State Department, Ukrainian and American experts participated in the event.

Deputy Minister Klimkin informed participants about completion of negotiations between Ukrainian and EU delegations on the Association Agreement with the European Union. He underlined that the European Integration remains absolute priority of Ukrainian foreign policy and domestic development.

The event drew significant attention of the Washingtonian official and non-governmental public.
