On November 10, 2011, Mr. Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, met with Mr. Theodor Bakonski, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Romania, who paid an official visit to Ukraine.

During negotiations the Parties expressed their mutual interest in bringing the bilateral dialogue to a new level and settlement in a constructive manner of all current issues of the Ukrainian-Romanian agenda.

The key attention was paid to practical issues of trade and economic, humanitarian and cross-border cooperation as well as protection of national minorities rights. The Romanian Party firmly reiterated its readiness to further support of Ukraine's European aspirations.

Talks resulted in the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the Ministry of Justice of Romania and the Protocol on Cooperation in the field of European integration between foreign ministers.
