Ukraine condemns and does not recognize signing of the so-called ‘agreement on alliance and strategic partnership’ between the Russian Federation and Georgian region of Abkhazia in Sochi, November 24, 2014.

This step is another evidence of disregarding the international law by Russia, as well as deliberate provocation aimed at destabilization of the situation in the Black Sea region. It threatens peace and security throughout Europe.

Ukraine, being hit by Russia’s aggressive actions, reaffirms its absolute support for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and urges the democratic world to take decisive actions to prevent further destruction of the international security system and law by the Russian Federation.
