The parties exchanged views on developments in the Middle East including the prospects of resumption of negotiations to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In this context Natalia Galibarenko expressed concern over the escalation of violence in East Jerusalem, calling on the opposing parties to exert maximum restraint. She also offered condolences on behalf of the Government of Ukraine for the victims of a terrorist act committed on November 18 in the Jerusalem synagogue «Kehilat Yaakov».  

The interlocutors stressed the need to consolidate efforts to combat extremism and prevent violations of fundamental principles of international law.

The Israeli delegation was informed about the situation in Eastern Ukraine, the efforts of the Ukrainian side for the implementation of the Minsk agreements. Hope was expressed for a clear position of the State of Israel in support of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Within the framework of political consultations with Zvi Rav-Ner, key issues of bilateral relations agenda, including plans for high-level visits for the next year, as well as development of the legal basis and cooperation within international organizations, were discussed. The delegations also drafted the Plan of political consultations between the MFA of Ukraine and the MFA of Israel for 2015-2016.
