On August 21, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Frans Timmermans, in the framework of his working visit to Ukraine.
The main focus was devoted to the situation in the DONBASS region, and more specifically on practical steps that Ukraine, supported by the international community, should undertake aimed at resolving the crisis.
In this regard, Frans Timmermans underscored the willingness of the Netherlands to assist Ukraine in rebuilding Donbas infrastructure, as well as to cooperate in overcoming of the humanitarian crisis in the region.
During the negotiations the sides also discussed cooperation between the two countries on the European integration, particularly in the context of implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union and realization of the second phase of the Visa Liberalization Plan for Ukraine.
The foreign ministers also underscored that the investigation on the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 flight crash must be carried out as soon as possible and the perpetrators for this terrorist act must be brought to justice.
