On 5 September Deputy Minister for Foreign Relations of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsia received the delegation of the Swedish Foreign Ministry chaired by the Head of the Permanent Delegation of Sweden to the OSCE Fredrik Lӧjdquist.
During the meeting the two sides exchanged views on the development of the current situation in and around Ukraine. S.Kyslytsia emphasized the importance of OSCE’s involvement in monitoring the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group, including the seize-fire arrangements. He also underlined the need to expand the number of the members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine to a maximum level of 500. On his part Ambassador F.Lӧjdquist provided assurances in Sweden’s full support of Ukraine’s efforts to resolve the current situation in the country’s east.
