On the margins of the event on 4 September Nataliia Galibarenko met with State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Mr. Frank Belfrage.

The two parties discussed current issues of Ukraine-Sweden bilateral relations. Nataliia Galibarenko briefed her counterpart on the situation in the eastern and southern parts of Ukraine as well as on the measures taken by the President and the Government to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Mr. Frank Belfrage was informed about Ukraine’s preparations for the provisional application of the Association Agreement with the EU. AA provisional application is to be launched after the Agreement is ratified by the Parliament of Ukraine. The parties also shared their views on the future development of the Eastern Partneship.

Nataliia Galibarenko thanked the Swedish part for providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, as well as for steady support of Ukraine in the EU and other international organizations.
