Minister Zaoralek welcomed the ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the Association Agreement and emphasized the support by the official Prague of the European choice of the Ukrainian people.

N.Halibarenko expressed hope for the further active assistance of Czech partners in carrying out European reforms in Ukraine and for prompt ratification by the Czech Parliament of the Association Agreement.

Minister Zaoralek stressed the important role of the recent steps taken by the President P.Poroshenko and the Ukrainian Government to stabilize the situation in the Eastern Ukraine. The head of the Czech MFA expressed satisfaction with high standards of minority rights protection in Ukraine and noted that “he had an opportunity personally verify that Czech minority is secure in Ukraine and he will deliver this message to the Czech society”.       

During the meeting the consular issues were also discussed.
