On May 4, 2012 Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko met with Vice Prime Minister of Turkey Ali Babacan who came to Kyiv to participate in the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Turkish Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

During the meeting the sides discussed current state and prospects of the Ukrainian-Turkish strategic partnership, including the implementation of projects in energy sector. Special attention was paid to the preparation of the visit of Prime Minister of Turkey R.T.Erdogan to Ukraine and the 2th meeting of the High Level Strategic Council, which is co-chaired by President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister of Turkey.

Minister K.Gryshchenko and Vice Prime Minister A.Babadcan also exchanged views on European integration of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey.
